Join Laura's House for our 40-Hour Domestic Violence Advocacy Training this November 2023. **Please Note: This will be a virtual training.** Guest speakers and Laura's House Staff members will present on a variety of topics for this intensive training. We look forward to you joining us for this training experience. The 40-Hour Domestic Violence Advocate training gives basic knowledge from which to build expertise and experience of options available to battered individuals, an understanding of the dynamics of battering, and a philosophy of empowerment. The training goals include understanding the dynamics of domestic violence, becoming familiar with the resources and procedures, and developing a realistic attitude toward helping those affected. This is achieved through lectures, films, group activities, and Q&A. Laura's House offers the training three times a year in March, July, and November. ** Please NOTE: Fee is non-refundable ** ** Participants are required to access the virtual training via computer / laptop / iPad.
